Social Media Rules and Guidelines

Individuals Only
This group is intended for individuals who support the American Council of the Blind Next Generation. You must answer all questions and accept the rules  before being accepted by an admin.

 

Be Kind and Courteous
We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.

 

Hate Speech and Bullying will not be tolerated
Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed, and all degrading comments will not be tolerated. By joining this group you are to follow the guidelines within the ACB Next Generation Code of Conduct.

 

Respect Everyone’s Privacy
This group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What’s said in the group should stay in the group, unless previously stated.

 

No Promotions or Spam
Although fundraisers for ACB or its affiliated organizations may be shared, no personal, direct, or third-party sales not related or belonging to ACB, or to our ACB Next Generation members are permitted.

 

Follow Group Guidelines
Group moderators will warn, suspend, or take any other action necessary, up to and including removal of posts or individuals, to ensure these guidelines are upheld.

 

Report Group Violations
Report any rule breaking posts or comments to admin for review using the Report to Admin feature in the drop down menu on each post. Please do not report violations through private messages.

 

No Personal Information
Although this is a private group, Please do not share your personal information, or any other individuals personal information without consent, within a post or in the comment section.

 

Zoom Links
When promoting a Zoom hosted event, do not provide the Zoom link within the main post. Zoom links are to be shared within the comment section to prevent any and all Zoom bombing.

 

Clubhouse Members and Moderator Rules

Guidelines for Clubhouse Moderators

All Moderators of rooms through the ACB Next Gen Club must be ACB Next Generation members.

There should be at least 2 Moderators in the room at all times in case someone drops.

If there are less than two Moderators fro more than 5 minutes, the room must be closed.

Moderators have discretion to resolve any issues in the room and to end the room at any time.

If a Moderator feels that there is a violation to the Clubhouse rules or the ACB Next Generation Code of Conduct that needs to be reported, they should report it to Clubhouse or to  ACB Next Generation at acbnextgen@gmail.com
